Advanced Performance Features & Key Technologies

Clean-Cycling Inertia-Driven® Action

At the mechanical heart of the Benelli M2 Field Compact 11182 for sale is the field-proven Inertia-Driven® system. Operating with just three primary moving components—the bolt body, inertia spring, and rotating bolt head—this streamlined action harnesses recoil energy to cycle everything from light 20-gauge target loads to heavy 3-inch magnum field shells without manual gas adjustments. By keeping gas, smoke, and burnt powder inside the barrel instead of venting into the receiver, the Inertia-Driven® system runs significantly cleaner and requires far less teardown than standard gas-operated shotguns.

ComforTech® Recoil Mitigation System

Carrying a lightweight 5.7-lb shotgun offers exceptional maneuverability, but heavy 3-inch waterfowl loads can produce noticeable muzzle jump. The Benelli M2 Field Compact solves this with its integrated ComforTech® synthetic stock system. Built with a grid of shock-absorbing chevrons, the entire stock flexes dynamically under load to absorb recoil energy and reduce felt punch—allowing smaller-stature shooters to stay comfortably locked on target for fast follow-up shots.

24-Inch Crio® Barrel & Fiber Optic Sight

To produce dense, uniform pattern concentration, this compact model features a 24-inch cryogenically treated Crio® barrel paired with interchangeable Crio® chokes (IC, M, F). Up top, a high-visibility Fiber Optic front sight draws in ambient light for quick sight alignment during overcast mornings, low-light dawn flights, or dense timber hunting.

Field Utility, Compact Ergonomics & Camo Concealment

Realtree Max-7® Waterfowl Concealment

Finished from stock to barrel in Realtree Max-7® camouflage, this model is optimized for open waterfowl habitats, flooded timber, marshlands, and agricultural fields. The high-contrast pattern effectively disrupts the shotgun’s outline, preventing glare and keeping hunters completely invisible to incoming flocks.

Compact 13-1/8″ LOP & Rapid Swing

Featuring a shortened 13-1/8″ Length of Pull (LOP) and an overall length of just 44.25 inches, the Compact model provides superior shoulder fit for younger shooters, female hunters, or anyone wearing heavy winter waterfowl layers. The 24-inch barrel enhances quick pointability in thick cover without sacrificing smooth tracking momentum.

Quick Field Stripping & Easy Maintenance

Because the Inertia-Driven® mechanism eliminates complex gas cylinders, pistons, and delicate O-rings, field stripping the M2 Field Compact takes under a minute. Routine maintenance requires minimal effort, keeping your firearm running flawlessly on extended hunting trips.
