Advanced Performance Features & Key Technologies

Clean-Cycling Inertia-Driven® Action

At the mechanical core of the Benelli M2 Field 11164 for sale is the world-renowned Inertia-Driven® system. Composed of just three primary moving parts—the bolt body, inertia spring, and rotating bolt head—this streamlined action uses recoil energy to cycle everything from 2-3/4″ target loads to heavy 3-inch magnum waterfowl shells without manual adjustment. By retaining gas, smoke, and burnt powder entirely within the barrel instead of venting into the action, the Inertia-Driven® system runs significantly cleaner and requires far less teardown than standard gas-operated shotguns.

ComforTech® Recoil Mitigation System

Shooting heavy 3-inch magnum loads in a nimble 6.7-lb 12-gauge shotgun can cause noticeable shooter fatigue over a long hunt. The Benelli M2 Field counters this with its integrated ComforTech® synthetic stock system. Featuring a engineered grid of shock-absorbing chevrons, the entire stock flexes dynamically under load to dissipate felt recoil and muzzle rise—allowing you to stay on target for fast follow-up shots on flying birds.

26-Inch Crio® Barrel & Fiber Optic Sight

To produce dense, uniform pattern distribution, this shotgun comes equipped with a 26-inch cryogenically treated Crio® barrel paired with interchangeable Crio® chokes (IC, M, F). Up top, a high-visibility Fiber Optic front sight draws in ambient light for rapid target acquisition during overcast mornings, low-light dawn flights, or dense timber hunting.

Field Utility, Ergonomics & Camo Concealment

Realtree Max-7® Waterfowl Concealment

Dressed from stock to barrel in Realtree Max-7® camouflage, this model is tailored for open waterfowl habitats, flooded timber, cattails, and agricultural fields. The high-contrast pattern effectively breaks up the shotgun’s outline, preventing sharp reflections and keeping you invisible to wary flock leaders.

Optimal 26-Inch Swing & All-Weather Grip

The 26-inch barrel length provides an exceptional balance between swift pointability in tight blinds and a steady, smooth tracking arc on long-range pass shots. Wrapped in a rugged synthetic stock, the gripping surfaces feature textured checkering along the wrist and fore-end to maintain a firm hold in freezing rain or mud.

Quick Field Stripping & Easy Maintenance

Because the Inertia-Driven® design eliminates complex gas pistons, O-rings, and heavy linkage rods, field stripping the M2 Field takes under a minute. Cleaning and maintenance require minimal effort, keeping your action operating smoothly during multi-day hunts far from the workshop.
